Responsibility

In Butler's Choice we take responsibility for the way our products are produced. We do what is humanly and economically possible to improve the environmental considerations and working conditions in our production:

We try our best to educate all our employees. This is done with the help of professional consultants, who teach health, sanitation and working conditions locally 2-3 times a year. In many of these courses our main suppliers participate too. We do it, because in this way Butler's Choice ensures maximum food safety, high quality products and continuous improvement of a sustainable production. Our demands to our suppliers improve the daily working procedures for hundreds of fishermen, farmers and workers in our production.

We support initiatives to improve the environment through e.g. wastewater facilities and restricting the use of medicine and feed, and we provide help to the farmers and workers in the form of free medical help and accomodation.

Butler's Choice ensures at the same time, that 1% of the turnover from the sale of the 'Fair Fish' products goes to Choice Foundation. The amount goes to projects within health and education that improve children's condition of life in the areas where we operate.
